馮濤教授長期從事納米材料領域的研究,研究工作主要可分為兩部分:2010年前主要從事納米碳材料及其場致電子發射的研究,2010年作為洪堡學者赴德以后主要從事納米玻璃材料的研究。在國內最早開展了采用印刷法制備碳納米管場發射平板顯示器(CNT-FED)的研究工作,并提出了采用等離子體表面處理技術提高CNT發射性能的方法,為大面積、低成本地制備CNT陰極打下了基礎。在國內最早采用全印刷工藝實現了三極管結構器件的制備,使真正低成本制備CNT-FED器件成為可能。2008年其領導的研究小組成功開發了可動態顯示的40英寸CNT-FED顯示屏,目前仍是國內報導的最大尺寸的FED顯示屏。2007年獲上海市青年科技啟明星稱號;2008年獲上海市創新人才稱號;2010年獲上海市科技進步獎三等獎(排名第五);同年獲“洪堡學者”稱號。作為項目負責人完成了國家自然科學基金項目“離子束輔助沉積Pt/C混合膜的制備及抑制柵電子發射機理研究”,上海科委納米專項項目“可驅動納米碳顯示器的研制”,“高效節能冷光源及大屏幕顯示模塊的研制及產業化”,“新型低成本CIGS薄膜太陽能電池研究”,上海市科技啟明星項目“超大屏幕用納米碳管顯示模塊的關鍵技術研究”,和上海市人才發展基金項目“40英寸納米碳管顯示屏開發的關鍵技術研究”。已在Appl. Phys. Lett.,Nanotechnology 等國內外學術期刊和學術會議上發表論文50余篇;在顯示領域國際頂尖會議Asia Display上連續兩年(07,08)做大會邀請報告(唯一一位連續兩年做邀請報告的來自中國大陸的學者);同時申請了發明專利10余項,獲得專利授權2項。近期發表的論文有:
